Niger - where people are dying of hunger and disease

Ma l'allarme per il peggioramento della situazione in Niger è recentissimo ed è stato dato da Kristalina Georgieva, commissario europeo incaricato degli aiuti umanitari.
La Georgieva, di rientro da un viaggio d'ispezione nella regione centro-orientale di Maradi, ha detto a chiare lettere, in conferenza stampa, che metà della popolazione del Niger non ha cosa mangiare.
E , sempre la Georgieva , parla per il solo Niger addirittura di 7 milioni di persone a rischio denutrizione e morte.
E poi aggiunge che la situazione, nonostante la presenza di Organizzazioni sanitarie umanitarie internazionali, come MEDICI SENZA FRONTIERE, è difficilissima persino negli ospedali, dove si registra, giorno dopo giorno, un numero sempre più crescente di bambini denutriti.
E la cosa é certa che peggiorerà con l'avanzare dell'estate in quanto è tempo di pausa per i raccolti.
Il Governo del Niger, che sappiamo essere nient'affatto democratico e figlio dell'ultimo, in ordine di tempo, colpo di Stato,ha fornito in proposito dei dati.

Il Governo del Niger inevitabilmente, denunciando al mondo la situazione incresciosa,batte cassa presso le istituzioni internazionali.
I "teorici liberal" dello SVILUPPO ci dicono che gli aiuti non aiutano.
